Northeastern Food Pantry 4832 N. Sherman St. Ext. Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania 17347 Food Pantry Hours Monday: 6:30—8:30 p.m. Tuesdays: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays: 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Thursdays: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The following items are needed: The following items are needed Jello, Pudding (Reg and sugar free, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels & Ramen Noodles. Items can be placed in the donation box located near the entrance of the Food Pantry behind Starview UCC. Please call ahead if you want to drop off the items during Pantry Hours Effective July 1, 2024, all clients (existing clients all re-register every fiscal year) will register electronically with the NEFP volunteers. Central PA Food Bank is providing the hardware and software program. Our volunteers are using a practice program to get ready for the new fiscal year. The change is our effort to maintain more accurate records. In addition, there are no geographic territories; thus, we can serve qualified individuals and families who live in York County. Please support our volunteers during this transition with patience and understanding.
Gift Card Order Dates There are new order forms on the table outside the sanctuary The next dates will be June 1, September 14, November 2, and December 7. You can now order Giant gift cards on the order form found in the hallway. Please remember to add $1 to your order to help with shipping.
WELCA The next WELCA meeting will be held on May 16, 2025, at 12:00 at Christ Lutheran. Bring your lunch and a drink. Dessert will be provided. Pastor Beth will conduct a Bible study during our May meeting. Our June meeting will be held at Darlene Prowell's lovely screened in porch on June 20, 2025, at 12:00. It will be a cookout -Darlene will be the grill master. We are to bring a covered dish to add to the table. More information will be coming. There will be no meetings in July and August, but our personal items will still be collected for those months and our helping out with Rachel's Closet. Just a reminder of our personal care items we are collecting: April-Toothpaste and Toothbrushes; May-Bodywash and Bar Soap. Also, Rachel's Closet at the Northeastern Middle School is in need of donations of clothing, (women's clothing, juniors, and men's adult clothing); new socks and new underwear, shoes and sneakers, pantry items such as Pop Tarts, cheese and peanut butter crackers, pudding and fruit cups, and personal care items. These items can be dropped off in the lobby at the Middle School or here at the church and we will see they are delivered. There is a poster on the bulletin board with the information. Items can be placed in the WELCA bin that is on the table in the hallway or on the table next to it. We would like to invite all women of the congregation to our WELCA meetings. We meet the third Friday of every month at 12:00. We bring a "brown bag" lunch and something to drink. A member of our group provides a dessert to share. Our meetings start around 12:30 and last until 2:00. Our theme is God's Work, Our Hands.
Blindsided Soup Kitchen (BSK) Those in need of groceries may call the church office (717-266-1316) before Friday of the week needed for pickup on Friday. Wish list: Canned veggies, fruit cups, canned soup, pudding cups, canned tuna, chicken, spam, scalloped potatoes, bags of cereal, instant mashed potatoes, tuna helper, noodles, rice, peanut butter, and jelly. Knorr noodle/rice packets, canned gravy or packets of gravy, mini canned ham (grocery outlet) Bolded items are needed the most. Pickup for groceries and soup will be on Fridays from 2 – 4 pm. You must call the church office at 717-266-1316 to request groceries/soup. You may call Monday –Thursday 9 am – 1 pm. Please leave your name and number if we are out of the office when you call. We will get back to you asap. If you are in need of groceries, please call the church office and we will make sure you receive groceries that week.
